Stop Discrimination at Target

Target is aggresively engaged in replacing elder Team Members (40 years and older) with younger, cheaper, less experienced people. This is a direct violation of EEOC ADEA (Age Discrimination Employment Act) of 1967.

Recently in South Florida a Store Team Leader for over 25 years was fired for no reason other than his age. He was highly revered and respected by his peers and his team. He has mentored and promoted hundreds of people who are now spread throughout the company. Despite an immaculate record and all these achievements he was unceremoniously disposed of one week before Christmas. Young, impressionable executives are used as confidential informants to undermine and destroy veterans of the company such as this Boynton Beach Store Manager. These young,unwise team members are coerced into betraying their seniors with promises of monetary gain and power. Not realizing that once their use has been spent, they themselves will be disposed of.

This is not an exception but it is the rule.It is a model being used throughout the Target corporation. The Target "mold" is the young, beautiful,new hires who are enticed by promotional opportunities to displace and dispose of the older, experienced managers through lies and deceit.

I implore you to stand up for morality, equality, decency and the law. We need to cherish and learn from our experienced managers on whose backs companies were built, not dispose of them. The American Dream is one of hard work and loyalty, not greed. Help us preserve that Dream for present and future generations and in honor of those past. Thank you.
