Employers should provide text phones for hearing impaired employees

My name is Edna Kampe, I suffer from sudden hearing loss. I am a phlebotomist and I had to switch to the job of housekeeper at the hospital where I work because I do not understand people on the telephone. Lots of hearing impaired individuals are very smart and very capable of doing more than manual jobs, if employers would facilitate text phones for the hearing impaired employee. There is nothing wrong with us we just can't hear. please help us keep our jobs.
