It has come to my attention that over the last few years the number of holes in teabags has been greatly reduced.
I realise that we are in a time of austerity but the cost of teabags has only gone up and the number of holes and thereby the amount of effort and therefore cost in producing the bag has gone down.
I and many others have noticed a visible deterioration in the quality of and the taste of tea in general. The boiling water having fewer holes to enter and diffuse the leaves.
Only in Great Britain is this a problem, the rest of Europe now laughing at this once proud tea drinking nation. I was horrified and humiliated and blushed with shame when a German colleague of mine, a German for gods sake! told me that British tea was the laughing stock of Europe.
We demand a return to the pre financial crisis number of teabag holes.1500 each side.
Even more would be nice.
