palm oil is a massive issue in that it is in 1 in 10 supermarket products. These include beauty products and shampoo.
the african palm tree can only grow in places around the equator, which is where the tropical rainforests also grow. These contain life to a large number of animals and insects. these species are starting to become extinct as the rainforest is being cut down in order to grow palm oil plantations.
